New Beginnings:

Portrait by Linapoo of my Feast of Fools themed avatar.

Hello, to anyone who may still be hanging about.

In case you didn’t notice, all previous posts were for an event game on an Avatar Community known as Menewsha (okay, that’s actually what it’s called, but that sounded cooler). The event was called “The Feast of Fools” and the teams were split into the Gypsies, Jesters, and Artists. The majority of the game was done by members from each team completing tasks towards “setting up, promoting and putting on a Street Circus.” All completed tasks went towards earning money (the point system). The creation of this blog was a result of the Bonus round, in which each team set up and maintained a blog throughout the day detailing the team’s fictional (or some RL) activity toward getting the performance underway.

In case you’re curious, the Artists won first place, Gypsies pulled through from the underdog position (we lagged behind from the beginning, with minimal member activity XD) to win second place, and Jesters came close in behind with third after a period of needing to tend to Real Life. ‘

Now, then. On to business!

I, Starr, have decided to continue posting on this blog as a sort of research project. I’ve always been fascinated by Gypsies, being someone with their own case of serious wanderlust. Of course, Gypsies have always had a hard time gaining acceptance, and I’m sure they still do. So, I’m dedicating this blog to my exploration of the world of the Gypsies.

Hope to see you soon!

Hello fellow Menewshans!

Welcome to the blog of Team Gypsies! We’re currently working on our performances and getting the movements down while we rise up early in the morning! It looks like it’s gonna be an exciting day, and hopefully the Jesters’ member, Belly, will be bringing the fire breathing camel back soon. She’s been having a bit of an affair with him through the duration of this, and since he’s off duty from 7pm CST to 7am CST, I can’t really say no. It’s in the contract and everything. And if I’m not careful, he’ll scorch my pretty hair again!

I walked over to the lake where we’ve been staging our performances to watch the sunrise. I stayed up all night working hard and figured I could stand a nice break of relaxation. It was beautiful! Everything was so peaceful. The birds roamed about the lake, catching breakfast. A few people were taking their dogs for walks, but they weren’t a disturbance at all. The crickets were still chirping, and dew still sat on the grass. The light gradually drew in and the sky went from blackish to light purple, to pink, to the light morning blue.

As I sat there, staring at the sky, I could hear the sound of a particular camel making his way back. He seemed rather grumpy, so I approached him with caution. Most of the group seemed to still be sleeping, so it would be rather rude to start trouble with the camel this early.

Which, by the way, is very hard when your camel breathes fire and has a temper worse than King Henry VIII. I reached out to lead him to his post so he could get some rest…and he not only set my hair on fire, but also ate a huge chunk out of my skirt! First Kage’s pants, and now my skirt!? What in the blazes are we going to do now? That was my favorite skirt, too…

Well, at least I have spares. Guess I’ll go start digging up clothes and seeing what I can find. So not fair…
